Interior Minister Ahmad Vahidi said enemies, particularly the United States and Israel, are working actively in the region to sow discord among regional states, stressing the importance of remaining vigilant in the face of such plots.

Seyyed Saleh Hendi, the head of Exploration Department at the National Iranian Oil Company, made the statement in Fars Province on Monday in a ceremony held in Dashtkouh near Shiraz for launching seismic and geophysical operations in oil and gas fields, the Oil Ministry’s news portal Shana reported.
“It appears that there are no huge oil and gas reserves to be discovered. However, reliance on geophysical and seismic data can help accelerate the discovery of small- and medium-sized fields.”

Turkish Airlines has added two flights on Tabriz-Istanbul air route, according to the director general of East Azarbaijan Airports Organization.

Iran’s foreign trade, excluding crude oil exports, stood at 19.84 million tons worth $10.63 billion during the current Iranian year’s sixth month (Aug. 23-Sept. 22) to register a 135% and 98% growth in weight and value respectively compared with the similar period of last year, according to the spokesman of the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration.

Following talks with Armenia, Iran has announced its readiness to cooperate in the construction of a new transportation route (Kajaran-Sisian road) that this northwestern neighbor is planning to build for completing its North-South Transport Corridor, says Iran’s deputy roads and urban development minister.
“The new route will form part of Iran-Armenia-Georgia Transportation Corridor and will be 64 kilometers long, which is half the length of the existing route. This newly-defined corridor is being constructed with the aim of increasing the efficacy of transportation along the North-South Transportation Corridor and has nothing to do with Armenia’s recent conflict with Azerbaijan,” Kheirollah Khademi was also quoted as saying by ILNA.
The official, who also doubles as the CEO of the Construction and Development of Transportation Infrastructure Company, noted that the corridor is apart from the alternative route the two countries have agreed to establish to bypass their mutual neighbor, Azerbaijan.
The average goods and services Consumer Price Index of tobacco in the 12-month period ending Sept. 22, which marks the end of the sixth Iranian month of fiscal 2021-22, increased by 45.2% compared with the corresponding period of the year before.

Iran’s external debt decreased slightly to $8.84 billion by up until August, the central bank reported.
The foreign debt is 1.06% or $95 million lower compared to the figure reported for the same period last year.
Medium and long-term debt stood at $6.36 billion, accounting for more than 71.9% of the total. Short-term debt was $2.48 billion on March 2021, rising from $1.75 billion in the corresponding period last year.
The Tehran Stock Exchange benchmark, TEDPIX, closed Monday slightly above the flatline, paring some gains made earlier in the session.
The market cap-weighted TEDPIX, gained 1,869.01 points or 0.13% to end trade at 1,457,480.
As seen in most previous sessions, small caps lagged behind with the equal-weighted index losing 0.22% on Sunday.
About 5.17 billion shares valued at 51.54 trillion rials ($190.8 million) changed hands at TSE for the day. Trade at TSE and the junior exchange Iran Fara Bourse starts on Saturday and ends Wednesday.

Taxi Management and Supervision Organization, affiliated to Tehran Municipality, has started paying financial aid to cab drivers for repairs and installation of electronic payment system.
According to Mohammad Roshani, the head of TMSO, drivers can seek loans worth 150 million rials ($535) for Samand and Peugeot 405 taxis, and 200 million rials ($714) loans for passenger vans, IMNA reported.
“Taxi drivers must sign up on the organization's website and complete loan application forms with Bank Ayandeh to receive the funding,” he said.
"The scheme has been well received by Tehran cabbies, as 10,000 applications have been received since the registration period began last week."
Roshani noted that the cab drivers' financial situation is a major impediment to taxi restoration and repair.
