More than 25 million tons of iron ore concentrates were produced in the last Iranian year (ended March 19, 2016), indicating a 0.3% rise compared with the previous year, Iranian Mines and Mining Development and Renovation Organization reported on its website.
According to the report, Golgohar Mining and Industrial Complex accounted for 10.1 million tons of the overall figure; Chadormalu Mining and Industrial Company 8.7 million tons; Iran Central Iron Ore Company 3.4 million tons; Middle East Mines and Mineral Industries Development Holding Company 2.5 million tons, and Sangan Iron Ore Mine 935,000 tons.
