French energy giant Total S.A. held a technical workshop in the southern Bushehr Province on Wednesday on "installation of offshore platforms". The event was attended by Total's representatives and development operators, executives and representatives of the giant South Pars Gas Field in Persian Gulf, Shana reported. Topics such as simultaneous operations system, guidelines for offshore operations, safety and efficiency, as well as risk assessment, were discussed during the session. Total signed a 20-year contract with the National Iranian Oil Company on the development of Phase 11 of South Pars. The project is conducted in partnership with China's state-owned oil and gas company CNPC and Petropars–an NIOC subsidiary.
