Now almost all the equipment are installed and the unit will be ready for launch in about a month,” Ardalan Sedaqatzadeh was also quoted as saying by the National Petrochemical Company’s news portal.
“When the unit stopped operating, the reformate product of the complex was exported. With the launch of the new unit, it will turn into paraxylene, which is a more valuable product with higher added value,” he said.
Power plants in Iran have received 20% more liquid fuel so far this year (started March 2022) compared with the same period of last year, the head of the National Iranian Oil Products Distribution Company, a subsidiary of the National Iranian Oil Company, said.
“The rise is due to increasing natural gas consumption in the domestic sector, which has cut gas supply to power stations and compelled them to burn liquid fuel such as diesel and mazut,” Ali Akbar Nejad-Ali was also quoted as saying by ILNA.
“On average, 2,000 tanker trucks provide fuel for power plants per day, which is a very large figure,” he said, adding that due to the increasing liquid fuel consumption, transportation becomes more complicated and in addition to road hazards and environmental pollution, it imposes a huge cost on the country.
Iran’s techno-engineering services exports in electricity and water sectors have witnessed a growth of 17% compared to those of 2016, the energy minister’s advisor for international affairs said.
“Supporting domestic companies to increase their export of technical and engineering services tops the Energy Ministry’s agenda,” Mohammad Ali Farahnakian was also quoted as saying by Barq News website.
Power and water services account for almost 57% of Iran's total exports of technical and engineering services, he added.
The official noted that water and power industries have made a positive contribution to the export of technical and engineering services in the last decade.
A total of 1.65 million tons of goods worth $645 million were exported from the Parvizkhan border terminal in the western Kermanshah Province during the first nine months of the current Iranian year (March 21-Dec. 21), according to Qasem Matlabi, a local customs official.
A total of 9,508 residential homes were sold in the capital city Tehran during the ninth month of the current Iranian year (Nov. 22-Dec. 21), registering a 28.62% rise from 7,392 in the preceding month, the Statistical Center of Iran said in a new report released on Tuesday.

According to SCI, the annualized inflation of residential buildings in Tehran reached 37.1% in the month ending Dec. 21.

The exports mainly included petrochemical, agricultural products, steel, construction materials and seafood.
The UAE, Iraq, China, Southeast Asia, Turkey, Russia, Afghanistan and Pakistan were the main export destinations, IRNA reported.
Iran’s Interior Ministry says it has approved residency permits for more than one million Afghan refugees living in the country.
Iran has imported a total of 1.8 million tons of wheat from Russia in 2022 to register a 54.5% decline compared with 2021.
Iran was Russia’s third biggest buyer of the grain last year, Mehr News Agency reported.
Turkey was the top importer of Russian wheat with 4 million tons of purchases, registering a 5.2% fall. Egypt was the second biggest with 3.5 million tons, registering a 12.6% rise compared with 2021.
Saudi Arabia followed Iran with 1.5 million tons, registering a 119.2% rise. Fifth was Algeria with 1 million tons, up 270.3%.
“A total of 11.5 million tons of wheat were produced on over 4.9 million hectares of farms across Iran during the past crop year [September 2021-22], registering a 45% rise compared with the previous year,” the head of Agriculture Ministry’s manager of “Wheat Project” said recently.
The Islamic Revolution Mostazafan Foundation has paid 48 trillion rials (about $120 million) in taxes over four years ending March 2022, according to its deputy for planning affairs.

The 12 groups of the basket of consumer goods and services surveyed by SCI include "food and beverages" with a coefficient of 26.64%, "tobacco" with 0.59%, "clothing and shoes" with 4.78%, “housing and utilities" with 35.5% (highest), "furniture, home appliances and their maintenance" with 3.93%, "health and treatment" with 7.14%, "transportation" with 9.41%, "communications" with 2.87%, "leisure and culture" with 1.65%, "education" with 1.86%, "hotels and restaurants" with 1.44% and "miscellaneous items and services" with 4.18%.
The general average annualized inflation in the month to Dec. 21 stood at 45%, according to SCI.
The parliamentary board responsible for monitoring government approvals’ compatibility with the law has rejected a decision by the government requiring the Central Insurance company of Iran (CII) to support insurance startups and online brokers.
It said according to the insurance law the High Council of Insurance has the final say on regulation guiding the insurance industry and thus the government-appointed digital economy working group was not qualified to approve any rules in this regard.
Last August the Raisi administration approved new rules ordering the CII to create policy mechanisms for effectively supporting insurance startups.
"The regulatory body of the insurance industry is obliged to prepare infrastructure to upraise supervision and payments, improve creditworthiness and risk management systems, create instruments in accord with knowledge-based insurance products and a central gateway for services sold by startups," the rules say in part.
The High Board of Divestures has approved block sale of 51% controlling shares in Tehran's two main football clubs, Esteghlal and Persepolis.
According to a press release from the Iran Privatization Organization, it can sell the shares either in one 51% blocks or three 17% blocks.
Base price of the 17% block is 5.03 trillion rial ($12.2 million) for Esteghlal and 5.16 trillion rials ($12.5m) for Persepolis. Esteghlal's 51% block will be offered at the base price of 21.37 trillion rials ($52.12m) and Persepolis 21.94 trillion rials ($51.9m).
Buyers should pay 20% in cash and the rest in six annual installments after one year grace period. The IPO has invited potential buyers to start negotiations before the offer.
The main index of Tehran Stock Exchange, TEDPIX, lost 1,931.06 points or 0.12% on Tuesday to end at 1,591,353.87. The TSE equal-weighted index gained 0.48%.
About 17.18 billion shares worth 94.84 trillion rials ($327.06 million) changed hands for the day. Trading at TSE and over-the-counter Iran Fara Bourse starts on Saturday and ends Wednesday.

The product, based on nanotechnology, is used to identify the appropriate antibiotic for medical treatment.
Karma Azma Andish Development and Equipment Company is the manufacturer of antibiogram tablets or disks containing nanoparticles, the news portal of Vice Presidency for Science and Technology reported.
Antibiogram or drug sensitivity tests use colored tubes based on the family of antibiotics to identify the most effective antibiotic against microbes in pathological laboratories, which help the patient recover soon.
