The main index of Tehran Stock Exchange, TEDPIX, lost 1,931.06 points or 0.12% on Tuesday to end at 1,591,353.87. The TSE equal-weighted index gained 0.48%.
About 17.18 billion shares worth 94.84 trillion rials ($327.06 million) changed hands for the day. Trading at TSE and over-the-counter Iran Fara Bourse starts on Saturday and ends Wednesday.
Insurance Industry Investment Company led the winning side as its shares jumped 6.86% to 2,322 rials per share.
Cosar Pharmaceutical Company was the big loser among all TSE-listed companies plunging 4.61% to 4,970 rials per share.
Golgohar Mining and Industrial Company contributed the most to the benchmark's fall, followed by National Iranian Copper Industries Company, Nouri Petrochemical Company and Mobarakeh Steel Company.
Iran Khodro Company gave the biggest boost to the benchmark index, followed by Saipa Automaker Company, Islamic Republic of Iran Shipping Lines Company and Mellat Bank.
IFX Rises 0.15%
Iran Fara Bourse main index IFX gained 31.22 points or 0.15% to close Tuesday at 20,377.55.
About 7.27 billion securities worth 79.13 trillion rials ($272.8m) were traded at the over-the-counter exchange for the day.
Day Bank had the highest number of traded shares at 1.14 billion worth 837.83 billion rials ($2.89m).
Kosar Bahman Investment Management Company was in the lead in terms of growth among all IFB-listed companies climbing 6.54% to reach 3,552 rials per share.
The big loser was Dena Afarin Fadak Food Preparation and Distribution Company plunging 6.97% to reach 17,480 rials per share.
Arya Sasol Polymer Company, Marun Petrochemical Company, Gohar Zamin Iron Ore Company and Iranol Oil Company had the most negative impact on IFX.
Lavan Oil Refining Company gave the biggest boost to IFX, followed by Saba Tamin Investment Company, Bahman Diesel Company and Day Bank.
