Iranian ambassador to Iraq said Tehran not only has no concerns over the prospects of the Iraqi government increasing its relations with its neighbors, including Saudi Arabia, but also welcomes such steps. Iraj Masjedi said, “Iraq is an independent nation and is entitled to make its own policies. It is natural for Iraq to be trying to increase their neighborly relations with Jordan, Turkey, Saudi Arabia and Iran.” Not only do we think this is not a problem, but we also would like to see all regional countries enjoy good relations,” he was quoted as saying by Fars News Agency on Saturday. He, however, warned that Iran would confront any schemes hatched against it by Saudi Arabia.
A lawmaker denounced the recent European proposal for new sanctions against Iran to satisfy US President Donald Trump, describing it as "ineffective" in saving the 2015 nuclear deal as it makes the accord less worthwhile for Tehran.
"Slapping fresh sanctions on Iran to persuade the United States to stay in the JCPOA has no benefit or advantage for us and will only inflict further damage on us. So that approach would be ineffective," Hossein Naqavi Hosseini said in a Saturday talk with ICANA.
Britain, France and Germany joined the US, Russia and China in negotiations with Iran that ultimately produced the nuclear accord, formally known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action.
It placed temporary restrictions on Tehran's nuclear work in return for giving it relief from international sanctions.
A senior figure in the Palestinian resistance group Hamas described its relations with Iran as "perfect".

With the aim of producing Euro-5 diesel in Shiraz refinery, the company has recently conducted negotiations to sign an agreement with a multinational company, Honeywell UOP, over the purchase of much-needed know-how and licenses for producing high quality diesel, Shiraz refinery's managing director said.
"Upon receiving the license, the refinery's diesel output at 26,000 barrels per day will meet Euro-5 international standards," Rahim Shamseddini was also quoted as saying by Shana on Sunday.
Honeywell UOP, formerly known as UOP LLC, is a multinational company developing and delivering technology to the petroleum refining, gas processing, petrochemical production and major manufacturing industries.
According to the official, the technology will help the company design a special unit to minimize sulfur compounds to comply with global standards, which in turn will help fight the menace of air pollution.

With only a day left for the Supreme Labor Council to set the minimum wage for the upcoming Iranian year, negotiations are still ongoing among representatives of workers, employers and government officials after they failed to reach an agreement in a dozen sessions.
Representatives of workers, going to bat for close to 15 million Iranians, are united behind the demand for an increase in the minimum wage based on the living wage—a theoretical wage level that allows an individual to afford adequate shelter, food and other necessities.
This comes as the employers’ representatives believe the country’s industries are not seeing an increase in productivity and earnings, and any sharp rise in minimum wage would put a damper on companies and businesses.
Yet, both groups believe that workers’ wages should exceed the inflation rate, which has been the case since 2014-15.

The stake was offered on Saturday, but delayed bids and prolonged document inspection process postponed the sale to the next day. According to Bourse Press, the buyer is an unnamed private auto parts maker. This was the largest volume of Islamic bonds the Iranian capital market had seen issued by one entity.
