Support for Water Management Startups

Iran National Innovation Fund and the Vice Presidential Office for Science and Technology have signed an agreement to support startups working on water management issues.
Naderqoli Ebrahimi, a deputy at the vice presidential office, met Ali Vahdat, the head of INIF, on Monday and discussed ways to expand the activities of knowledge-based companies and startups working on technologies related to water management, Mehr News Agency reported.
The two sides agreed to help the startups and tech firms to participate in urban development projects and commercialize their technologies.
Speaking at the meeting, Vahdat explained INIF's plans, budget and facilities and said, "The fund has prioritized development of technologies related to water and wastewater management."
Ebrahimi agreed to furnish a list of water and wastewater management projects that can benefit from smart solutions and products.
Vahdat hoped the fund will accelerate the development of projects and ease water management problems in the country. 
Details of plans and amount of financial support are to be announced in the coming weeks.
