The College of Agriculture and Natural Resources at University of Tehran (UTCAN) and Italian University of Cagliari signed a memorandum of understanding in academic cooperation on Sunday.
The MoU was signed by Gianluigi Bacchetta, Erasmus Mundus Program representative and head of the Botanical Garden of University of Cagliari, and Seyyed Hossein Goldansaz, head of UTCAN, at the University of Tehran.
The agreement also envisages scientific collaboration in joint research projects and student exchange programs, Mehr News Agency reported.
At the meeting, Bacchetta referred to the facilities and potentials of the University of Cagliari for expansion of cooperation with Iran. The university established in 1606, is one of the two universities on the island of Sardinia, an autonomous region of Italy.
