Barely 10% of students have been covered by the drug abuse and addiction prevention programs, and the coverage needs to be extended, said Alireza Jazini, head of Iran’s Drug Control Headquarters. Under the program, every student receives four hours of face to face education in prevention of drug abuse, IRNA quoted him as saying. By the end of the next five-year economic development plan (2016-2021), a quarter of the total number of students will be covered under the program.
