A foreign policy advisor to the parliament speaker reiterated Tehran’s commitment to supporting the Damascus government and blamed the rise of terrorist groups and the ensuing instability and migration crisis on Israel and the US. Hossein Amir-Abdollahian also said Iran will continue to overtly support Syria, Iraq and other nations facing the threat of terrorism for the sake of the region’s security and its own national security, Tasnim News Agency reported on Thursday. The advisor slammed the Zionist regime of Israel and the US as the creators and directors of stooges such as the self-styled Islamic State and Jabhat Fateh al-Sham terrorist groups. Amir-Abdollahian noted that the support of Zionists for terrorist groups have made the region and even the West insecure, creating terrorism and migration crises. “Since the onset of the crises in Syria, the occupied Palestinian territories have been a safe haven for curing injured terrorists,” he said, adding the militants do not take any action against the Tel Aviv regime because they are basically being sustained by Israel.
