Majlis Speaker Ali Larijani met Prime Minister of Iraq's Kurdistan Regional Government Nechervan Barzani in Tehran on Sunday, ICANA reported. The KRG thanked the Islamic Republic for supporting Iraqi Kurdistan and called for increased "political" and "economic" relations with Tehran. Larijani said "our chief enemy" in the region is the Islamic State militant group and it is essential to work together to reverse the terrorists' gains.
