Iran and Russia have decided to exploit the potential of parliamentary cooperation to help strengthen bilateral relations, lawmaker Amir Khojasteh, who led a parliamentary delegation during a recent visit to Moscow, told IRNA in an interview published on Saturday. Pointing to a potential area for increased cooperation between the two parliaments, Khojasteh, chairman of the Majlis Councils and Internal Affairs Commission, said that “in the meetings it was agreed that the two sides share experience in holding elections.”
He said parliamentary cooperation between the two countries is developing, stressing that the mutual interest in expansion of ties is “remarkable” and the opportunity needs to be used to the benefit of the two sides.
