Ambassador to Russia Mehdi Sanaei said the nuclear agreement between Iran and major powers reached in Vienna on July 14 will positively affect relations between Tehran and Moscow.
“The Vienna agreement on Iran’s nuclear program will have a positive impact on relations and cooperation between Iran and Russia; and will help boost them,” Sanaei said in an article published on the website of the Iranian Embassy in Moscow, IRNA reported on Wednesday.
He rejected the idea expressed by some analysts that the deal could dampen ties with Russia in view of an expected rise in the level of cooperation with the West and said, “I believe such remarks are not well-founded and I see bright prospects for relations between the two neighbors.”
