Lawmaker Alireza Zakani told reporters on Monday the parliamentarians are opposed to extraordinary inspections of facilities by the International Atomic Energy Agency under a prospective nuclear deal with the major powers, IRNA reported.
“We accept conventional inspections, but we are opposed to extraordinary inspections of military and nuclear sites,” he said.
He noted that the nuclear talks should continue within the framework set by the system to “preserve the people’s dignity and national interests.”
“In return for the steps that we take, the commitments of the other side should also be clear and transparent and they should provide the required guarantees,” he said, adding that sanctions should be lifted at once and the negotiating parties should not impose restrictions on Iran’s peaceful nuclear research and development program.
