The fifth session of the Iran-Pakistan Joint Consular Commission was held at Pakistan’s Ministry of the Interior and Narcotics Control in Islamabad on Tuesday, IRNA reported.
The meeting was chaired by Deputy Foreign Minister for Consular, Parliamentary and Expatriates Affairs Hassan Qashqavi and Pakistani Secretary Interior Shahid Khan.
The facilitation of the process of issuing visas for the two countries’ nationals, the repatriation of convicts, students’ affairs studying at Iranian and Pakistani universities, and the facilitation of pilgrims’ visits to Iranian shrine cities were expected to be discussed in the two-day meeting.
The two sides were also scheduled to review the agreements reached in the previous session of the commission.
