Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei issued a decree on Tuesday granting amnesty to some prisoners and reducing the sentences of other convicts. Earlier, Judiciary Chief Ayatollah Sadeq Amoli Larijani had written a letter to the Leader in which he made a proposal to grant clemency to 1,020 convicts on the occasion of the anniversary of the 1979 Islamic Revolution.
