To ease trade and avoid delays at points of entry to Baghdad due to security reasons, Iranian exporters and merchants are recommended to use the borders of Mehran in Ilam Province, Sumar in Kermanshah Province and Shalamcheh and Chazzabeh in Khuzestan Province to access southern parts of Iraq, says Iran’s commercial counselor to the neighboring country. “Long lines of trucks have formed at entry points to Baghdad because of stringent security inspections, which have caused damage to some perishable export goods,” IRNA quoted Ebrahim Rezazadeh as saying.  Trade between the two nations has picked up significantly in recent years as Iran exports food, vegetables, dairy, cars, cooling equipment to the Arab country grappling with internal strife and the plague of the IS (aka Daesh, ISIS and ISIL)terrorists spreading death and destruction in the war-ravaged country.
