Despite security issues in Iraq, close to $104 million worth of goods were exported from Qazvin to the country during the first half of the current Iranian year (started March 21), showing a 25% growth compared with last year’s corresponding period, says general manager of Customs Bureau of the province, Alireza Sadrikhah. Major export products were tiles, ceramics, eggs, evaporative coolers, ironware, steel, construction glass, detergent, sanitary wares, carpet, food products, power cables, aluminum plates and motorcycles. Qazvin has more than 2,500 active industrial units and is connected to the International North-South Transport Corridor, Mehr News Agency reported.
