Trade With Tajikistan

Trade between Iran and Tajikistan amounted to $228 million in 2014, according to Tajik President Emomali Rahmon, who added that the figure accounted for 4.3%  of his country’s total foreign trade in that year.  He made the remarks in a meeting with Iran’s Energy Minister Hamid Chitchian on the sidelines of an International Conference on the Implementation of the International Decade for Action ‘Water for Life’ 2005-15, which is being held in the city of Dushanbe. Rahmon also noted that currently more than 150 Iranian companies are operating in Tajikistan, Mehr News Agency reported. The conference started on Monday and will run till June 11.
