The tendency of government agencies to enforce unnecessary restrictive regulations has become the most important obstacle in the way of innovative startup businesses, especially online businesses in Iran, Hossein Salahvarzi, the president of Iran Entrepreneurship Organization, said. “In spite of regular attempts and the many laws passed to facilitate deregulation, including the formation of the Council for Dialogue Between the Government and Private Sector, and the emphasis of authorities on the need for deregulation, effective action has not been taken to reduce redundant legislations and new, unwarranted regulations are being introduced every day,” Salahvarzi was quoted as saying by ILNA.
