Almost 241,000 tons of bitumen of various grades was offered on the board by local suppliers on the Iran Mercantile Exchange (IME)’s export trading floor on Tuesday, IME’s public relations and international affairs office reported.

Moreover, the report also said that 400 tons of roof insulation was supplied along with bitumen on the export trading floor for overseas markets.

The industrial and mining trading floor played host to 10,000 tons of Steel slab C with the base price of 14,320 rials offered by Hormozgan Steel Company. In addition, based on the market demand, an additional 30,000 tons was put in stock for potential customers.

Close to 1,200 tons of alloy ingots as well as 400 tons of billets was also put up for bids by Iran Aluminum Company during Tuesday’s trade.

Furthermore, the oil and petrochemical trading floor saw trading of almost 51,920 tons of various polymers of local petrochemical complexes. Polyethylene, polypropylene, styrene, butadiene rubber, and polyvinylchloride were among the major petrochemical commodities traded at IME on Tuesday. In addition, 84,000 tons of bitumen, 15,000 tons of vacuum bottom, and 2,000 tons of granulated sulfur were also on the board for customers.    

Overall, around 420,000 tons of different commodities were supplied on the spot market at the IME.
