The Iran Mercantile Exchange (IME) played host to almost 7,100 tons of bitumen 6070, as well as roof insulation on the export trading floor on Saturday’s trade, IME’s public relations and international affairs office reported.

Close to 1,100 tons of bitumen 6070 at the base price of $480 per tone was supplied by Hormozan Oil Industrial Company. In addition, around 4,600 tons of bitumen was offered by other local suppliers with two different prices ($405 and $460, respectively).

The report further mentioned that 100 tons of roof insulation at the base price of $470 was put up for bids for overseas markets by Pasargad Pars Insulation Company. Moreover, two other packages of insulation, each weighing 200 tons, were supplied by other local firms at the base price of $450 and $460, respectively.

Furthermore, 51,538 tons of various petrochemicals were on the board at the oil and petrochemical trading floor by 17 local petrochemical complexes. Based on the market demand, another 19,640 tons was announced to be available in stock for potential customers.

Due to the dramatic oil plunge, the petrochemicals and polymers are recording consecutive drops in prices, with up to 16 percent decline recorded recently at the IME.
