Tehran Stock Exchange’s main index TEDPIX lost 13 points or less than 0.01% during the week that ended on September 27 to end at 85,819.

The main index of the smaller over-the-counter exchange Iran Fara Bourse added 3.7 points or 0.4% during the week to stand at 961.

Trading at Iran’s stock markets starts on Saturday and ends on Wednesday.

Over 5.24 billion shares valued at $374.12 million were traded on TSE during last week. The number of traded shares dropped by 11% while trade value grew by 23.7% compared to the previous week.

TSE’s First Market Index shed 400 points or 0.66% to end at 59,506.2.

The Second Market Index rose by 2,046 points or 1.09% to close at 190,416.8.

At IFB, more than 1.7 billion securities valued at $290.48 million were traded. The number of traded shares grew by 72% while trade value dropped by 7% compared to the previous week.

IFB’s market cap lost $778.15 million or 2.6% to reach $28.80 billion.

Its First Market witnessed the trading of 83 million securities valued at $7.07 million, indicating a 0.2% downturn in the number of shares traded and 73% jump in trade value.

About 1.16 billion securities valued at $33.74 million were traded in the Second Market, with the number of traded securities and trade value surging by 207% and 6% week-on-week respectively.
