More than 83,000 tons of polymers were offered by 18 local suppliers in Iran Mercantile Exchange’s spot market on Tuesday. As IME reported, the oil and petrochemical trading floor played host to 74 grades of polymers, including styrene butadiene rubber, polyethylene terephthalate, chemical polypropylene and polyvinyl chloride. In addition, 50,800 tons of various grades of bitumen were also filed for potential customers. The export trading floor witnessed the offering of 84,000 tons of various grades of bitumen by Jey Oil Company as well as 31,000 tons of the same commodity offered by other local suppliers. About 800 tons of aluminum alloy of 99.95-percent purity at the base price of 58,022 rials was offered by Iran Aluminum Company on the industrial and mining trading floor. The agricultural trading floor featured 26,900 tons of corn, 5,000 tons of white sugar, 4,000 tons of durum wheat as well as 603 tons of date. The IME’s secondary market registered the offering of 2,000 tons of scrap metals by Islamic Republic of Iran Railways. All in all, close to 280,000 tons of commodities were offered in IME’s spot market on Tuesday.
