Iran Mercantile Exchange on Wednesday saw the offering of 50,000 tons of granulated iron ore priced at $21 per ton by Iranian Central Plateau Iron ore Mines Complex, 2,500 tons of bitumen and 100 tons of roof insulation on the export trading floor. The oil and petrochemical trading floor played host to 82,777 tons of commodities, including bitumen, polymers and chemicals. The industrial and mining trading floor featured 80,000 tons of rebars and I-beams, 200 tons of metallurgical coke as well as 800 tons of aluminum ingots of 99.7-percent purity. Elsewhere, the agricultural trading floor witnessed the offering of 11,700 tons of commodities, including 2,100 tons of corn, 4,000 tons of durum wheat, 3,800 tons of white sugar and 1,800 tons of imported rice. As IME reported, the Islamic Republic of Iran Railways offered 85 tons of scrap metal at the base price of 6,800 rials per kg on the secondary market.
