Close to 76,000 tons of polymers were offered by 19 local petrochemical complexes on Iran Mercantile Exchange’s spot market on Tuesday.

According to IME, the oil and petrochemical trading floor played host to 80 grades of polymers, including styrene butadiene rubber, acrylonitrile butadiene styrene, various grades of polyethylene, polystyrene and polyvinyl chloride. The floor also featured 61,500 tons of various grades of bitumen.

The export trading floor witnessed the offering of 15,070 tons of various grades of bitumen and 200 tons of roof insulation for potential customers overseas.

The industrial and mining trading floor played host to 40,000 tons of steel sections-C priced at 13,500 rials per kg, in addition to 5,000 tons of steel sections-C at the base price of 14,000 rials per kg. Furthermore, 3,000 tons of aluminum ingots of 99.7-percent purity by Iran Aluminum Company and 100 tons of zinc alloy of 99.98-percent purity by Zanjan Khales Sazan Zinc Industries Company were offered there.

Elsewhere, the agricultural trading floor saw the offering of 11,000 tons of corn, 31,000 tons of white sugar, 6,540 tons of rice and 4,000 tons of durum wheat.

All in all, more than 314,000 tons of commodities were offered in IME’s spot market.
