The Iran Mercantile Exchange (IME) recorded the offering of more than 96,000 tons of commodities, worth more than $46 million, at the spot market on Wednesday trading, IME’s public relations reported. In a bustling trading day, more than 23,374 tons of various polymers including styrene butadiene rubber, polyethylene terephthalate, high and low density polyethylene, polypropylene, and polyvinyl chloride were offered by local petrochemical complexes on the oil and petrochemical trading floor. Furthermore, 37,710 tons of bitumen offered by Jey Oil Refining Company and Pasargad Oil Company, 14,700 tons of vacuum bottoms, 500 tons of slap wax, and 100 tons of sulfur lumps were put up on the board of the same floor. The export trading floor, for its part, witnessed the offering of 1,250 tons of bitumen 6070, as well as 100 tons of roof insulation. Elsewhere, 18,500 tons of steel slabs C, with the base price of 13,800 rials per kg, and 132 tons of I-beams were offered on the industrial and mining trading floor. The agricultural trading floor played host to only 145 tons of local corn.
