Tehran stocks closed trading week Wednesday in negative territory amid unceasing sell-side pressure.
The benchmark of Tehran Stock Exchange, TEDPIX, lost the critical 1.4 million level losing 10,455.49 points or 0.74% to end trade at 1,394,096.
Value of retail trade increased 17% to reach 49.96 trillion rials ($178 million), the highest in the past two weeks. Increase in the value of trade in a bear market suggests that retail traders were sellers on Wednesday.
