The downturn continued for the second session in the Tehran stock market on Tuesday amid noticeable decline in value of trade by retail investors.
The main index of Tehran Stock Exchange, TEDPIX, shed 5,432.86 points or 0.47% to end trade at 1,140,497. Banks, auto, electronic and transportation tickers were the biggest losers.
Total trade value at the TSE and the junior equity exchange Iran Fara Bourse declined 33% to reach 68.9 trillion rials ($300 million) with retail investors contributing to 30.41 trillion rials of deals.
