‘Yato’ Displaying Ancient Art

A group painting exhibition by Yato Art Group displayed ancient Iranian art at Tehran’s Sobhan Art Gallery.
An overview of Iran’s rich art over its long history, the collection included mixed media paintings, portraying a combination of modern and ancient styles of painting, ISNA quoted Hamid Toloueifar, a graphist, as saying.
Reviving rare mementos of olden times, the artists have used ancient paintings and innovatively turned them into unique artworks.
All the members of Yato are university students in graphic art, who after two years of planning presented their first exhibition that concludes on Thursday.
Mahya Tolou’ Kian, Hamid Toloueifar, Mohammad Sadeq Zarjouyan, Zahra Bahrami, Ladan Bamdadnia, Samaneh Zargar, Minoo Belal, Fatemeh Bakhtiari and Parinaz Qashqaei are among the 19 artists who displayed their works.
