KSC Top Steel Exporter During 5 Months to Aug. 22

With a total of 887,543 tons of exports in the first five months of the current fiscal year (March 21-Aug. 22) and 174,772 tons in the fifth month (July 23-Aug. 22), Khouzestan Steel Company was Iran's biggest exporter of steel during the period under review.
The mill experienced a year-on-year decline of 20% in exports during the five months, but saw a growth of 15% in the fifth month, latest data released by the Iranian Mines and Mining Industries Development and Renovation Organization show.
The steelmaker, located in the southwestern Khuzestan Province, exports to over a dozen countries.
