Iran's tallest airport control tower (52 meters high) became operational in Hamedan Province on Thursday in the presence of Minister of Roads and Urban Development Mohammad Eslami.
On the sidelines of the inaugural ceremony of the control tower, Manager of Hamedan Airport Company Sohrab Kalvandi said the project has been carried out over seven years, costing 60 billion rials ($4.5 million), Mehr News Agency reported.
“Construction work on this huge project started in 2012,” he added.
Hamedan International Airport is equipped with VOR/DME and NDB systems.
