The Tehran Municipality Beautification Organization has called on all visual artists to participate in the mural painting exhibition to prepare Tehran for Nowroz, the Iranian New Year (starts March 21). The artists have been asked “to use creative approaches and semi-permanent materials” for their works. The works will be judged on February 2 and the results announced two days later, Mehr News Agency reported. The first, second and third prize winners will be awarded $1500, $1000, and $700 respectively, as well as a Diploma of Honor.
