Iran Trade With Australia Grows by 13%

Iran traded 93,623 tons of non-oil commodities worth $176.13 million with Australia in the last Iranian year (ended March 20, 2019), registering a 52.23% and 13.03% growth in tonnage and value respectively compared with the year before, latest data released by the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration show.
Iran’s exports to Australia stood at 14,395 tons worth $31.81 million, down 27.85% and 19.84% in tonnage and value respectively year-on-year. 
Australia was Iran’s 48th export destination during the year.
Iran mainly exported floorings, dates, alabaster, polystyrene and pistachios to Australia during the 12-month period.
It exported 79,227 tons of goods worth $144.32 million to Iran, up 90.69% and 24.26% in tonnage and value respectively YOY. 
Australia was the 26th exporter of goods to Iran over the year.
Imports mainly included sheep carcasses, coal, machinery and pod vegetables.
