UK-based security solutions supplier Westminster Group said it had made significant progress with its Iran airport contract and remains committed to starting it as soon as possible. The contract was put on hold when the US unilaterally withdrew from the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action in May, though China, Russia and the EU countries remain signatories. “I am pleased to report that we continue to work with our Iranian customer and the EU authorities in order to address the challenges created by the US unilateral withdrawal from the JCPOA and with a view to commencing the project at the earliest opportunity once the remaining issues have been resolved,” said Peter Fowler, chief executive.
