Iran traded 194,214 tons of non-oil commodities worth $113.77 million with Turkmenistan during the first four months of the current fiscal year (March 21-July 22). This marks a 41.07% and 19.99% decline in tonnage and value respectively compared with last year’s corresponding period, latest data released by the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration show. Iran’s exports to Turkmenistan stood at 185,776 tons worth $109.28 million, down 43.08% and 22.45% in tonnage and value respectively year-on-year. Turkmenistan was Iran’s 17th biggest export destination during the period. Iran mainly exported pipe grid, refined sugar and potatoes to Turkmenistan during the four-month period. Turkmenistan exported 8,438 tons of goods worth $4.48 million to Iran, up 165.77% and 250.96% in tonnage and value YOY respectively. Turkmenistan was the 67th exporter of goods to Iran over the four months. Imports mainly included linter, petroleum coke and mineral oils.
