Pouria Heidary’s ‘Social Learning Theory’ is participating in the International Short Fiction Film Section at the 15th edition of Lanzarote Film Festival in Spain.
It will compete against 24 other titles from countries including the USA, France, UK, Canada, Venezuela and Tunisia.
The short film is about the impacts of public executions on young children who are taken there to watch. This film was made after 3 kids lost their life in their childish game when trying to recreate what they had seen at an execution.
Heidary’s short film enjoys its seventh feature in international film festivals. Previously, it had been screened in Kansas City Film Festival in April, 2014 and nominated for the Best Short Film award. It will be also screened at the International Children’s Film Festival Bangladesh.
The 2015 Lanzarote Film Festival will take place from March 16-28. The section on animation short film of the festival will also feature an Iranian production ‘Volition’ by Shakiba Shabani.
