Pop singer and songwriter Rahim Shahriari from Tabriz will perform an Azeri concert on September 6 at Milad Tower in Tehran.
Shahriari, 48, recently performed a series of concerts in the US and Canada. “Every time I hold a concert in Iran, I become rather excited as if it is my first public performance. I always bring my best and most energetic self to the concerts. I’m really happy with my domestic performance,” Honaronline quoted Shahriari as saying.
Lezginka, a dynamic, fast-paced music for Lezgi dance is included in the repertoire. The ethnic group of Lezgins belongs to southern Dagestan in the North Caucasus region and northeast Azerbaijan. A group of ritual Azeri dancers are invited to the concert. They will perform Lezgi and Azeri dances.
The event is sponsored by Kamyab-Baharan, a music and concert producing company in Tehran. Tickets are available at iranconcert.com.
Milad Tower is accessible by each of the four expressways namely Hemmat, Chamran, Hakim and Sheikh-Fazlollah.
