The award winning play “Flick” written by American playwright Annie Baker is on stage at Shahrzad Theater until August 5.
It is set in a dilapidated movie theater in Worcester, Massachusetts, which is run by three underpaid movie ushers, Avery, Sam and Rose who also run the film projector, and do all the tedious work necessary for keeping the place up and running.
Directed by Mohammad-Hassan Majooni, the cast includes Navid Mohammadzadeh, Setareh Pesyani, Borna Ansari and Hossein Hosseinian.
Annie Baker, 37, has written four plays. Flick received the 2014 Pulitzer Prize for Drama and won the 2013 Obie Award for Playwriting.
