Aaran Projects Art Gallery in Tehran is holding a group exhibit featuring works of three artists Shaqayeq Ahmadian, Farzad Shekari and Parisa Taqipour. The works are connected in the sense that the three artists have tried to show human physical and emotional dimensions, however from their own artistic points of view, Honaronline reported on its Persian website. Ahmadian has two collections at the show; one is dedicated to her minimalist paintings featuring humans created with simple lines in different places, like parties. It seems that she has intentionally made no effort in making the human figures appear beautiful, creating a distance from her other collection, presented at the exhibit, that includes installations of small colorful dolls and toys. Fabric sculptures of Parisa Taqipour are named after historical and mythical female figures, like Tahmineh, wife of Rostam the main hero of Shahnameh (book of kings) by the Persian poet Ferdowsi (940-1020).
