Seraj to Hold Six Concerts in Mashhad

Traditional vocalist and player of setar and santur Hesameddin Seraj will hold six concerts in Mashhad on July 19-21.

Seraj, 59, will be accompanied by Bamdad Music Ensemble. Led by Seyyed Salar Mortazavi who also plays daf, the band includes Reza Saeedi and Saeed Rah-Chamani on kamancheh, Amir Reza Taqavi (oud), Javad Farzaneh (tonbak), Qasem Abbasi-Vazin (tar), Yaser Fatemi (ney) and Bashir Moslemi (santur), Cinematicket.org reported.

Last year the band took part in the competition section of folklore groups in the Harmonie Festival in Germany and the International Festival of Oriental Music in the Estonian capital Tallinn.
