Mouteh Gold Mine has produced 130 kilograms of gold bullion since the beginning of the current fiscal year (March 21), registering a 30% growth compared with last year’s corresponding period, the mine’s managing director said. Alireza Talari added that Mouteh aims to further increase its production by purchasing raw materials produced by other smaller players and refining it. “This will both increase our output and support smaller mines that lack the machinery for processing the materials,” Talari told IRIB. Mouteh’s last fiscal (March 2017-18) output stood at 602 kilograms, growing 58% year-on-year. Iran’s first exploited gold deposit at Mouteh Gold Mine is located in Meymeh County in Isfahan Province and operates with an annual 300,000-kg output capacity.
