Consul in Erbil Morteza Ebadi met with Iraqi Kurdistan Parliament (IKP) Speaker Yousif Muhammed, ICANA reported on Thursday. After the meeting, the office of the IKP speaker issued a statement in which it highlighted the importance of Majlis Speaker Ali Larijani's recent visit to Iraqi Kurdistan, saying the visit marked "the start of a new stage" in relations between the two sides. It also described relations between Iran and Iraqi Kurdistan as "historical" and "highly important."
