The United Nations World Tourism Organization will organize the 10th World Congress on Snow and Mountain Tourism from March 21-23 in Escaldes-Engordany, Andorra. Since the first edition, the main objective of the congress has been to provide a clear understanding of the challenges and opportunities of the snow and mountain destinations and to acquire an overview of successful business models, innovation, the impact of climate change and tourism marketing, said a UNWTO press release. For three days, leading international experts will discuss topics linking mountain tourism to the most recent developments related to accommodation and the hospitality industry as well as to quality and knowledge management and innovation in product development and IC and booking technologies and other related innovation in state-of-the-art marketing. The objective is to share expertise in these fields to ensure quality visitor experiences and the positioning of mountain areas as all-year round destinations.
