The Iran Mercantile Exchange (IME)’s trading floors played host to more than 119,000 tons of various commodities offered by 25 local and international suppliers on Monday, IME’s public relations and foreign affairs office reported.The oil and petrochemical trading floor saw more than 27,700 tons of various types of polymers from local petrochemical being traded. Polypropylene, heavy and light polyethylene, polystyrene, and polypropylene for chemical, film, and texture applications, were among the polymers. In addition, about 41,400 tons of bitumen of various grades, 33,500 tons of vacuum bottoms, and 1,700 tons of granulated sulfur were offered to potential customers. The export trading floor was host to 900 tons of bitumen 6070, as well as 1,200 tons of roof insulation at Monday’s trading. Some 6,000 tons of rice from Thailand, and 5,700 tons of Indian rice were supplied on the agricultural trading floor. Besides, 300 tons of cubic sugar, with the base price of 18,700 rials per kg was up for grabs on the same trading floor. Finally, on IME’s industrial and mining trading floor, 10 kg of various gold bullions were supplied by Mouteh Gold Complex.
