Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif arrived in the Serbian capital Belgrade on Monday for the first leg of his East European tour, which will also take him to Bulgaria, Croatia and Bosnia.
A high-ranking political and economic delegation, including businessmen and entrepreneurs from the private and public sectors, will accompany the top diplomat, Mehr News Agency quoted Foreign Ministry Spokesman Bahram Qasemi as saying.
The visit comes after Zarif made another tour of East Europe in 2016. Heading a 30-member economic delegation, the Iranian foreign minister visited Romania, Slovakia and the Czech Republic.
