The first flare stack of South Pars Gas Field's Phase 14 in the Persian Gulf lit up on Saturday, the director of the phase said. "Platform SPD-A14, one of the phase's main platforms, is now operational and has registered a record of installation and implementation in only 18 days," Hamidreza Masoudi was also quoted as saying by Shana.
The platform, weighing 2,500 tons, is set to extract and transfer 14.1 million cubic meters of natural gas per day by March 11 to the refineries located in the Pars Kangan region, where it will be processed and injected into the national gas grid. Phase 14 is slated to produce 56 million cubic meters of gas and 75,000 barrels of gas condensates per year.
