In separate massages to parliament speakers of Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) member states on Saturday, Majlis Speaker Ali Larijani expressed congratulations on the birth anniversary of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
In the messages, he highlighted the necessity of promoting unity and solidarity and avoiding discord and clashes among Muslim nations, IRNA reported.
He also said intellectuals and leaders of the Muslim world have an obligation to make efforts to help strengthen brotherly and cordial relations among Muslims.
Addressing his counterparts in OIC member states, he said, "Today, the greatest sin in the Muslim world is creating discord and clash between religious brothers and the most essential virtue is inviting them to maintain unity, cohesion and integrity against (the forces of) oppression, arrogance and Zionism."
