Foreign companies at Iran Mercantile Exchange (IME) offered as much as 790 tons of agricultural products on the trading floor on Tuesday, while the total volume of commodities offered at the physical market exceeded 400,000 tons.
Foreign companies offered 200 tons of Russian barley, 200 tons of Ukrainian flint corn, 200 tons of Indian rice, 140 tons of Brazilian flint corn, and 50 tons of Argentine soybean meal.
The Iranian companies were also active on agricultural products trading floor, where Karaj Sugar Company, for instance, offered 350 tons of white sugar as well as 30 tons of rapeseed meal. As much as 350 tons of white sugar was also offered by Varamin Sugar Refinery.
Other trading floors were also active during the day, as 266,000 tons of bitumen was also offered on export trading floor. Jey Oil Refining Company offered 124,000 tons of bitumen, while Pasargad Oil Company offered 74,000 tons of the same product. Shimi Tejarat Naghsh Jahan company also offered 59,000 tons of bitumen. Mubarakeh Steel Company said if there was demand, it would offer 6,000 tons of cold-rolled steel sheet grade B on industrial and mineral products trading floor.
