Prize money of 2018 FIFA World Cup has been announced for all teams playing in the competition.
A total of $400 million will be given to all 32 teams in the upcoming Russia World Cup. FIFA, the governing body of Football, has increased the prize money of this year’s edition by 12%.
According to Footballwood.in, the winner will receive a whopping $38 million which was $35 million in Brazil four years ago.
FIFA increased prize money for every team whether they are winner or runners-up. There is no change in prize money for Groups stage teams.
The total $400m is the highest prize money ever in the history of FIFA World Cup. In 2014 Brazil, the total was $358 million for all 32 national football teams.
The 2018 World Cup will be held in different Russian cities, June 14-July 15.
